Japanese Society of Interventional Nephrology (JSIVN)

The Japanese Society of Interventional Nephrology was founded in 2013.
Our national survey revealed that many Japanese nephrologists are performing surgical and interventional procedure related to nephrology field. Japanese interventional nephrologists are performing approximately 50 % of both vascular access surgery, VAIVT and peritoneal dialysis catheter insertion (Clin Exp Nephrol. 2018).
And the other doctors, such as urologists, surgeons, radiologists, cardiologists, nurses and technicians are performing interventional nephrology and participating in JSIVN.
Our aim is to enhance and promote their skills and find the latest techniques and best treatment strategies in this field.
